Privacy
- Photos you add are shown on the display's pin. We remove location and camera data from them first. Please don't include people's faces or licence plates.
- For voting we keep a random device cookie and a scrambled (salted hash) form of your network address, so one household counts once. We don't store your IP address.
- When you verify a display, we ask your browser for your location for a one-time “nearby or not” check. Your location isn't saved.
- We use Google Analytics to see which features help people find displays. No ads tracking. Where the law requires it (for example in Quebec), it only runs if you allow it.
- Sign-in is through Google, Facebook or Microsoft; we keep your name and email only.
Don't list my address
If you'd rather your home never appears on the map, tell us here. Pins within about 30 m are hidden right away, and nobody will be able to add your address in future seasons.
