About Holiday Maps
A free, community-sourced map of Halloween and Christmas displays around Ottawa–Gatineau. Everyone can add the displays they know about, and every visit, thumbs-up and report helps keep the map accurate for the next family out looking for lights.
Pin scoring
- Pins are scored from what visitors tell us: thumbs-up, thumbs-down, “Not there” reports and in-person verifications.
- Displays from previous years are carried over, so the map doesn't start from scratch each season. They stay 🕘 unverified (shown in grey) until someone confirms them or they become popular enough. Turn on Hide unverified to see only confirmed displays.
- Once a pin has a high enough score, it appears in full colour. Displays that someone has confirmed in person with their phone's location are marked ✓ Verified.
- Verifying a display in person counts the most, and counts more when you're signed in. Displays added without signing in start out unverified.
- If you visit a pin and there's no display, please report it as “Not there”.
